Guri na Roça is a CSO (Civil Society Organization) founded in 1999, which emerged with the intention of welcoming children from the outskirts of Jacareí-SP and giving them a chance of a better life through the teaching of environmental education. Today, we serve around 130 children from municipal and state schools, who receive school support, meals and environmental education.

What we do
Life projects
We are an instrument of transformation in the lives of many children who come to Guri. All the activities developed have a purpose and a teaching that will provide the development of fundamental values for life, such as respect, self-esteem and altruism.
My journey, my achievements
The admiration for Ayrton Senna and the institution that bears his name, was the source of inspiration for this project. Learning success depends on three basic
elements: Direction,Welcoming and Meaning. For this reason, the project is a ludic path, where the carts bear the names of their pilots, for a fun “lap” on the track. Participation in school and Guri na Roça, in addition to comparing school reports and attendance, take the pilot forward, arousing interest in school issues. The prizes are for everyone, since the greatest victory is knowledge itself. For meritocracy, the first three places receive different awards, but in this project everyone has the opportunity to reach the podium.

Due to the social condition and lack of community structure, students do not have access to computers and the internet, stationery materials and, in many cases, do not even have a place to perform tasks, research and studies. The Support for First Job project seeks to guide and encourage teenagers to the world of work, giving instructions on how to behave in an interview, tips for setting up a curriculum, simulating face-to-face interviews, among other activities. Everything to give more possibilities to our young people.

The world in my backyard
The vegetable garden is what brings a philosophical foundation to all the other workshops, through observation, reflection and cultivation. It allows children and adolescents to understand the proposal to educate with love. The project is designed to awaken, raise awareness and encourage the little ones to understand how things work and how nature is among us. In addition to the opportunity to experience the cultivation of vegetables, medicinal herbs and greens, understand the space and time, the little ones learn notions of care for the environment and recycling.

Mission
Through the care methodology, be the agent of social vulnerability eradication in the neighborhood of Veraneio Ijal, minimizing the impacts of social difference and guaranteeing the rights established by the ECA (Statute of Children and Adolescents).
